Design & Technology

In Design and Technology we strive to create an environment where students are able to combine creative thinking with technological and practical skills to design and make products that meet human needs. They learn to use current technologies and to consider the impact of future technological developments.

We offer Design and technology at GCSE and A Level.

Creative thinking, designing, critical evaluation, and problem solving are all key concepts that our students develop within this subject so that they grow in their ability to intervene and improve the quality of life through new products and systems.

Design and Technology constantly evolves having a unique role within the curriculum.  We challenge and engage our students with a stimulating curriculum that promotes innovation and confidence. As a result, we are always looking to engage with businesses involved in any technological area to help give an insight into the real world and add depth to what our students learn in the classroom.
