Junior School

Sports

RugbyAll pupils in Years 3 to 6 take part in Games on two afternoons a week. Pupils in Year 2 take part in one weekly Games session in addition to a weekly swimming lesson. There is a different major sport for boys and girls each term with fixtures for Year 5 and Year 6 being played on Wednesday afternoons and fixtures for Year 4 taking place on a Friday afternoon.

The focus for pupils in Year 2 and Year 3 is to develop key skills in these major sports but some fixtures may also occasionally take place for these age groups.

The Private Junior School supports the idea that sport is to be enjoyed by all and thus every pupil has the chance to represent the school on at least one occasion in their favourite sport.
