Throughout the years we have been proud to showcase the achievements of our pupils at District, County and International level; this is another feather to our cap. Competing in pre-season matches, tournaments and after much rigorous training, the team played a total of 12 matches this season.

Speaking about the achievement, Captain for the 1st XI Girls’ Hockey Team said: “It has been a huge honour to captain the first team this year. We have worked incredibly well together, from defence to midfield to attack - this was shown in every single match. Everyone brought so much to the team, and I am incredibly proud of every single player.”

As well as some downtime spent surfing in Devon during training, this experience has also been an opportunity to inspire younger pupils at the school. So much so that they invested their time with students at the Junior School coaching them with their hockey skills to put towards upcoming fixtures. This passion and enthusiasm to succeed in hockey is evidence of the team’s hard work, commitment and drive for the sport and highlights why we’re one of the best schools for hockey in the UK. This is something that runs throughout each and every department at Rendcomb College and long may the records and triumphs continue for years to come. This news has certainly seen many congratulations from parents, pupils and teachers alike which all build up our portfolio of triumphs.

Plus Rendcomb College offer sport scholarships which can be applied for preceding Year 7, Year 9 and Year 12 entry.
