Lacrosse: European Selection For Rendcomb College Pupil

We would like to extend our congratulations to Vittoria, who was recently selected by the Italian national Lacrosse team to play at the Lacrosse European Championships this summer!

In year 5 Vittoria started playing Lacrosse for the first time and hasn’t looked back since, playing consistently at Rendcomb College and for Cirencester Lacrosse club. She has also tried some other sports, such as hockey, but has found that Lacrosse was her favourite. “One of the reasons I love it so much is because I like running, and Lacrosse involves A LOT of running.”

Vittoria originally tried out for the Italian team during half term, where she played all day with team members. What an experience! After working so hard over the last couple of years Vittoria says “I’m really happy to have been selected, I always dreamed of doing something like this.”

Now in year 11, Vittoria is also studying for her GCSEs, taking History, Spanish, Art, and Drama. She has also completed LAMDA examinations up to grade 6, however further exams have been put on hold for the moment until her GCSEs are complete. Being particularly fond of Art and Drama, Vittoria has participated in every single drama production since joining the school, right from year 5 to year 11! This includes some wonderful productions such as The Caucasian Chalk Circle, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Beauty and The Beast.
