Rendcomb College Pupils Celebrate a Successful GCSE Year

Hot on the heels of the A-Level results, this years’ GCSE pupils at Rendcomb College have once again delivered a great outcome in what has been a tumultuous year for pupils.
46% of pupils achieved grades 9-7 and 65% achieving grades 9-6.
Particular noteworthy results go to:
Martha B – 7 x 9’s and 4 x 8’s
Freddie B – 9 x 9’s and 2 x 8’s
Ruairi E-J – 9 x 9’s and 2 x 8’s
Jensen H – 7 x 9’s, 2 x 8’s and 1 x 7
Edward N – 11 x 9’s
“This is a great set of results for this years’ cohort” says Rob Jones, Head of College.
Rob continues: “Pupils have had to cope with so much in the past 19 months, especially those doing their GCSE’s who have not only had to adapt to a new way of learning, but had the added uncertainty of how their performance was going to be measured.
“Once again our pupils have shown great strength of character and resilience in adapting to all that was thrown at them, and have delivered to the best of their abilities.
“With support from teachers, tutors and mentors along the way, it is a real testament to all that we have been able to provide to our pupils in continuing to deliver a great education, despite all the years’ challenges.
“Once again I find myself very proud of all that our pupils have achieved.”
