SCHOOL PASSES LATEST INSPECTION IN ALL AREAS

Rendcomb College fulfils every standard set by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
Rendcomb College and Junior School, the co-educational day and boarding school near Cheltenham for children aged 3 to 18, has met each of the eight requirements examined during the Regulatory Compliance Inspection on 7 and 8 February 2018.
The ISI also found that there were no recommendations to make in areas the school might improve.
This process checked on the compliance of the School with all aspects of regulation in relation to independent schools, including boarding and early years’ provision. It was also a chance for the inspectors to take a view on the quality of the educational provision for pupils throughout the Schools in terms of academic and personal development. The inspection team spent two days in the School and also looked at the parents’ responses to a questionnaire.
The report noted that pupils regularly exceed the national average in their exam results.
Students' welfare and spiritual, moral, social and cultural development met every requirement, as did the standard of the school's premises. For pupils new to boarding, the report recognised the bespoke induction process that is in place to help them settle in.
The management team were also recognised for having good skills and knowledge and for fulfilling all responsibilities, meeting standards consistently and actively promoting student's well-being.
Head of College, Rob Jones, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have passed the inspection in every area. It reflects not only the quality of the education provided at Rendcomb, but also the spirit and ethos of both the Junior and Senior Schools, the dedication and hard work of all the staff, the character and achievements of our pupils and the very positive impression they make.”
Head of Juniors, Gavin Roberts, said: “We work together as a team at Rendcomb and pupils and teachers have excellent relationships, our support staff and teachers work together brilliantly to do the best for our wonderful pupils and partnerships with parents are really strong.”
