International Celebration Evening
This week saw the annual return of the International Celebration Evening at Rendcomb College where our international community come together to showcase their cultures to the rest of the school.
Once again, this pupil-led event created some fantastic displays, provided an insight into the students’ culture and their everyday lives.
Head of College, Rob Jones, exclaimed: “This is such a fantastic event which showcases the wonderful international representation we have here at Rendcomb. The pupils have put on yet another brilliant showcase for our school which really demonstrates what the Rendcomb family is truly about.”
There were a number of foods and activities on show from the breadth of nations represented by the student body at Rendcomb College.
The United States were represented with American Football and pulled pork while Spain showcased traditional flamenco dresses and foods. Japan gave everyone a challenge to use chopsticks while also showing amazing calligraphy skills and origami.
Pupils also enjoyed lessons in Mahjong from our Chinese students with a number of culinary delights from Israel, Malaysia, Italy, Germany, China and Nigeria, specially prepared by our students.
