Chinese New Year comes to Rendcomb College

Rendcomb College celebrated Chinese New Year and the year of the pig yesterday with a variety of activities throughout the Nursery, Junior and Senior School.

The Nursery learnt all about Chinese New Year and got to make lots of pig themed art while the Junior School listened to many traditional Chinese tales and made traditional Chinese pellet drums and lots of beautiful decorations for the dining room.

The Senior School got up to lots of Chinese themed activities in their classes and in their boarding houses in the evening. Stable House boarders cooked a traditional Chinese dinner for the rest of the house and also invited Godman House over for dinner as well.

The catering team decorated the dining hall with many traditional decorations and the art work created by the Junior School for a special Chinese lunch for the whole school. A special photo booth was also erected by the International Admissions department for the pupils to get involved with.

The Nursery and Junior School loved all the new foods for them to try and even mastered the use of chopsticks!

Thank you to everyone involved throughout the day and a special thank you to the catering team for such a brilliant lunch.
