Year 10 pupils Ellie (left) and Penny (right) have been selected to attend the trials for the National Lacrosse Academy on Saturday, 6 and Sunday, 7 July. The girls were selected having participated in an Inter-Regional Academy tournament in April where they were competing against girls from all over England.

Year 8 pupils Jemima, Eleanor and Amelia, and Year 9 pupils Hattie and Issy were also put forward by Rendcomb College’s lacrosse coaches to attend trials for selection onto the England Talent Pathway in April. All five girls have been selected and will attend their first Regional Academy in July.

Head of Physical Education, Lacrosse and Athlete Development at Rendcomb College, Karen Coups said: “Being selected for the National Academy from such a small school is a major achievement for Ellie and Penny. I am extremely proud of all of our girls and am sure that the opportunities on offer at Rendcomb, including the lacrosse tour to Germany and use of our all-weather facilities, has contributed to their recent successes. We all look forward to supporting the girls throughout their lacrosse careers.”

Rendcomb is pleased to be linking with Triple Arrow and England Lacrosse to hold a residential camp for girls this summer.
