Today the students have received their RYA Youth Sailing Scheme Stage 1 Award gained after completion of the term’s activity.

To receive the award the students has to learn numerous skills including how to turn, stop, go faster and rig a boat.

Award winners Jemima L and Roo J said: “The sailing has all been amazing, we especially enjoyed capsizing the boats and putting them right again. The best part was jumping in at the end and we are now looking forward to moving on to Stage 2.”
